In this spiritual teaching video, Hafed explains that free will is basically a choice between good and evil.  He comments how strange it is that the hardest road to take is the one that leads us back home to God.

He urges us to fight the temptations and obsessions we face and take the right path.  He also tells us we must be strong enough to stand up for what we believe, because to stay quiet or agree with someone who opposes God, is to oppose God himself.
